Honoring the children, now and for generations to come.
Alia is transforming America’s ‘childcare deserts’ into landscapes of connected, countrywide Havens rooted in community.
In the future we see…
Nurture instead of assessment
Guides instead of teachers
Havens instead of care settings
“As new parents, we are overjoyed to have such wonderful caretakers helping our daughter's development and growth.”
— Kinley, Parent
Childcare with roots
Alongside local families, elders and volunteers, we help communities to come together to nurture local children…
Helping to establish and support Havens in homes, community buildings and places of work.
Discovering local Guides: the skilled and soulful people we believe every community has, ready and waiting, to nurture children.
Developing daily and seasonal flows led by the innate wonder of the children and the culture and natural cycles of the local place.
Convening community volunteers: the potent combination of elders and youngers coming together.
We believe these roots will form nutrient-rich networks in the bedrock of society, nurturing children and the communities around them for generations.
Get involved
If you feel called to dedicate yourself to care for children, that is enough to begin a journey together.
